Hiking

Primarily, the trip here was for the Agawa Canyon experience. That really only determined the location though, since camping, for me, especially fall camping, is a worthy destination on its own! It’s ridiculous just how happy I am that we still have a few days here with absolutely nothing to do! That certainly doesn’t mean we won’t do anything, nor have a ton of fun! It does mean though that there isn’t a plan, there is nothing we have to do, and we will proceed as the spirit moves us!

Since the park is spread along a 3km stretch of the Superior shoreline, all our exploring to this point was on the beach. With the time left we decided to explore the forest hiking options the park offers. What a great choice! Add the hiking into the already winning combo of good friends, killer cards, food and wine, and the ever present Lake Superior and the rest of this trip is nourishment for the soul!

Cool fungi everywhere

More (different) fungus. Check out the lone one of the left. The tall, twisty, spindly stalk made it look like a Dr. Seuss creation!

And again my little camera is a hero. I can flip my viewing screen, hold the camera over my head, and voila! A picture looking down on fungus way over my head!
